the pawstep of arcticblaze the words of arcticblaze the thoughts of arcticblaze the words of others
arcticblaze smiled, his smile a grave and desolate one. it seemed almost depressing to celebrate his absence in the medicine cat den. he wanted to be just like other cats, who were lucky to only have a single medicine cat trip for sickness. it appeared, though, that starclan had singled him out to forever be a weakling in a world of strong cats. he was strong in his heart and in his mind, but never in his body. he shook his head angrily and sat down. perhaps he should start trying to build a life. he had an apprentice after all, why not find a mate and have kits to. wouldn't that be a good idea.

mottle heart - - - - - Mottleheart leapt through the territory. She had a good feeling about today, and didn’t know why. Her mind was on all sorts of things; the new deputy, prey, patrols. She had gone through morning border patrol with ease, and then relaxed a little in the camp. But it wasn’t Mottleheart’s style to just sit in one place for too long, and before anycat could even blink, she was gone from the warrior’s den and out into the territory. She wasn’t interested in patrolling and moving slowly - her energy was up and she needed to get it all out of her. And she knew where she could go to do that. A place where she could challenge herself and get her energy out of her in no time.
The Great Sycamore was one of her favourite places to be usually. As an apprentice, it was definitely a good place to train with her mentor, and now even as a warrior she found herself hunting and keeping her skills up around this area. She could see it straight ahead, and leapt out of the bushes. She caught the scent of someone, nearly skidding to a halt by an upturned root and looked around, nostrils flaring. It was a ThunderClan cat definitely, so she wasn’t worried. Moving around the tree, she spotted him: Arcticblaze. She had surely made enough noise to let her presence be known, so she had no intentions of scaring him.
“You’re all the way out here?” she mocked with a smile and a very light purr, approaching him, “So far from Foxnose’s den?” Her opinion on Arcticblaze was very simple: considering how unhealthy he was, she was doubtful he should still even be a warrior. On one paw his insistence on keeping his role was admirable, but on the other she was very positive he couldn’t do much in a fight. True, Mottleheart hadn’t seen him fight, but with his health she merely assumed he was quite useless. TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.

arcticblaze spotted the female before she skidded to a halt, his ears pricked in caution. his sharp blue eyes met her and he could see that she simply didn't beleive he was good enough to be a warrior.he was very good at reading other cats expressions. his eyes narrowed thoughtfuly and almost angrily. so she was one of those?! he rolled his eyes inwardly. You’re all the way out here? she said it teasingly, but arcticblaze's ears didn't pick up the humor. So far from Foxnose’s den? all humor was washed dry by his ears. it just wasn't there as far as his mind was concerned.
yes, i actually am. no need to act so surprised. his voice was uncharacteristically cold and there was an inlaid threat, even if it came out sounding like a joke. acrticblaze got tired of putting up with cats who didn't beleive in his abilities. who didn't beleive in his right to be a warrior. he liked being friendly and joking around with warriors, but it was just one of those days that he didn't feel like putting up with it. i am perfectly capable of being a warrior, i don't need foxnose holding my hand. i don't need anyone again his voice was icey cold. so much for getting a mate.
